Any user who has access to User Catalog, and Access Control in Back-office will be able to assist the user who receives the message below, and: assign a user to a role and/ or assign applications to a role and/ or assign a user's startup application to their role.
When a user receives the message seen above when trying to log into Back-office, it might be issue A, B or C, a combination of A, B or C, or all of them. Check ALL of the below.
A. The user has not been assigned a role.
1. Check that the correct role has been assigned to the user.

2. If there are no applications displayed in the right-hand block, it means that the user has no Back-office access, and will not be able to log into Back-office:
You will have to assign the user to a role in Access Control.

B. No applications have been assigned to your role:
3. Check that applications have been assigned to the role the specific user is a member of.

4. If there are no applications assigned to the specific role:
You will have to assign applications to the specific role.

C. Your Startup application has not been assigned to your Role:
5. Open the user's profile in User Catalog.

6. Search for the same application that was chosen in the startup application, in the right-hand box, in the example below, you would have to search for "Manager Console" in the right-hand box:

7. If you are unable to find the chosen Startup Application in the list on the right-hand side, you have the following 3 options:
I. Change the Startup Application:
- Check the right-hand list to see which applications the user has access to, then select one of the applications, which the user has access to, from the Startup Application drop-down list:
- Press the "Tab" button on your keyboard.
- Click on the save button in the navigation bar:
II. Assign the Startup Application to the role that the user has been assigned to:
- Check what Startup application has been selected for the specific user in User Catalog:
- Search for the user/ role in Access Control:

- Grant the specific role, which the user is a member of, access to the Startup Application chosen in User Catalog.

III. Assign a different role to the user:
- Check what Startup application has been selected for the specific user in User Catalog:
- Check which role/s has access to the Startup Application chosen in User Catalog. Also, check which role will best suit the specific user. If you cannot find a suitable role, create a custom one.

- Remove the user from their current (incorrect) role.

- Add the user as a member of the role which has access to the Startup application in User Catalog.
